About usCERT-EU publishes its Cyber Threat Intelligence Framework, a shared reference to classify, assess, and prioritise malicious cyber activity affecting Union entities and their ecosystem.
Regulation (EU) 2023/2841, the Cybersecurity Regulation for Union entities, entered into force on 7 January 2024. Two years later, the Interinstitutional Cybersecurity Board (IICB) released its annual report for 2025 and it promptly became a cyber best-seller in Brussels' EU quarter.
The European Commission, the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), the Cybersecurity Service for the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies (CERT-EU), and the network of the EU CSIRTs, are closely following the active exploitation of vulnerabilities in on-premises SharePoint Servers.
Born in 2011, CERT-EU is an inter-institutional service provider administratively hosted in the
European Commission. As the Cybersecurity Service for the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies,
our mission is to contribute to the security of their ICT infrastructure
by helping them to prevent, detect, mitigate and respond to cyber attacks.
We also act as the cybersecurity information exchange and incident response coordination hub for
all the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies.
We are a world-renowned cybersecurity entity, working tirelessly to protect the data and systems
of our constituents. We have been steadily expanding our cybersecurity operations over the years
and currently serve and defend more than 90 entities that are key to the functioning of the EU
across the continent and beyond. From our base in Brussels, we work with a range of peers,
partners and researchers from all over the world to ensure we maintain our technological edge
and have access to the best-in-class expertise.
Our people are a mix of technical and non-technical experts - diverse, talented, and all of them
passionate.
